Detect if your browser is leaking your real IP address
WebRTC can leak your real IP address even when using a VPN. This test detects if your browser is exposing your local or public IP through WebRTC.

WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) is a browser feature that enables real-time communication like video calls and file sharing. However, it can leak your real IP address by bypassing VPN tunnels and revealing your local network IP addresses.
WebRTC is an open-source technology that enables browser-based real-time communication for voice, video, and peer-to-peer file sharing.
WebRTC uses STUN (Session Traversal Utilities for NAT) servers to discover public IP addresses. This process can reveal your real IP even when using a VPN by making direct requests that bypass the VPN tunnel.
Use browser extensions that disable WebRTC, enable WebRTC leak protection in your VPN, or use a browser with built-in privacy features that block WebRTC leaks.
Chrome doesn't have built-in WebRTC disabling. Install extensions like "WebRTC Leak Shield" or use a VPN with browser extension.
Go to about:config, set media.peerconnection.enabled to false to disable WebRTC, or use a privacy-focused VPN extension.
Opera has built-in VPN with WebRTC protection. Enable it in Settings > Privacy > VPN.
Safari has better WebRTC protections by default. Ensure "Prevent Cross-Site Tracking" is enabled in Preferences > Privacy.
